Seasonal Acne

advertisement

Do you get acne more in the winter than you do in the summer, or maybe you are the other way around? This could be due to seasonal acne.

Seasonal Acne
For me, I actually have slim to no acne in the summer. However, when winter time roles around, I usually have about 3 or so problems. See how cold weather acne correspond.

Why Seasonal Acne?

This is simply a theory, but my best bet is that this would have to do with the temperature and the sun itself.
  • A dry and cold winter suggests dry and more sensitive skin.
  • A summer may suggest too much sun for your face, causing acne problems.

Keeping acne clear year around.

The best thing you do is
  • Moisturize your face in the winter time.
  • Use sunscreen and protect your face in the summer time.
This should help get rid of your acne during the seasons you get it the most.

Hello, new reader here, just came accross this from Youtube, by chance I guess!

You are exactly like me, in that I think my acne is seasonal as well. It gets worse in the winter. I'm also using Proactive (with no aparent results), but I think it's because, like you said in another post, I'm not being consistent! But that is only because of the irritation that results from it. I do use a moisterizer and all that, but sometimes areas on my face are so red I'm afraid I'll actually burn the skin or something. Is this normal? And should I just still just trust that the redness WILL go away?
Just looking for a bit of support I guess since I've had this issue for a long while! :)

I used to have your same issue. This was caused by overusing Proactiv.

Try cutting down Proactiv use to once a day.
